This water park is located on the grounds of the Atlantis the Palm hotel in Dubai, but the water park itself is open to all visitors. The huge area (170,000 square metres) is one of the most ambitious projects of its kind. You need to come here for the whole day – there are so many water slides, beaches, pools, and a giant aquarium – you want to visit everything at once. Admission is free for hotel guests, but visitors to the water park can buy tickets – we bought a day ticket ($58), and children’s tickets are cheaper, of course.
There are always long queues for the slides, especially the most popular ones, where you have to wait for your turn. By the way, you can buy a ticket with lunch and eat at the water park.
One of the most popular slides is Ziggurat, a 30-metre structure that includes several slides. It is built like a small town, and you fly through different levels as if travelling through a village.
Another popular slide is Leap of Faith. You slide down an almost vertical tower and, gaining tremendous speed, enter a tunnel with transparent walls. The 60-metre-long tunnel runs through an aquarium with sharks, stingrays and exotic fish. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get a good look at them as you fly through very quickly, and the water jets prevent you from opening your eyes 🙂
The Shark Attack attraction is a real thrill. You float on an inflatable ring, surrounded by live sharks – you can even touch them, but don’t worry – you are separated by thin plastic and the sharks won’t come close to you

You can just wander around the aquarium and admire the beauty. At the same time, you can watch the tourists flying through the tube inside the aquarium, listen to their screams and decide if you are ready for this 🙂
There are many exciting adventures in this park – you can swim in a real pool with waterfalls, ride less extreme slides – everything your heart desires.
Don’t forget that renting a towel will cost an additional $8 (approximately), and a locker for your belongings will cost an additional $10. In general, they say that prices also depend on the tourist season. There is also a combined ticket for the water park and aquarium (about $73).
The park opens at 10 a.m., and it’s best to arrive in the morning when there are fewer people.
