The place I go to Dubai for, an excellent water park. Of course, there are inconveniences in the form of long lines at the end of the day, but everything else is great. Be sure to buy an orange bracelet, otherwise the lines will ruin the whole experience. Excellent slides, great atmosphere in the water park, very friendly staff, cool river, the only place I haven't been to yet is the dolphin area — I'll leave that for next time. This year, I also discovered an ice cream café near the exit from Atlantis—it's very tasty, and I also liked the show the girls put on while serving.

A chic water park, full of impressions and emotions. There are several areas just for children. Children are allowed on many slides in the adult areas (in the towers) if they are at least 120 cm tall. They check strictly, and if you are shorter than that, don't even ask, they won't let you in. In the guest service area, you can get free slippers for swimming.
Free buggies (mini-buses) run around the park, which is very convenient for getting around, as the park is quite large.

A very beautiful and well-maintained water park with lots of slides and entertainment.
The shortest lines are at the trident tower.
Towel rental is 35 AED. You can do without them. There are plenty of sun loungers, so there's no point in renting your own for 95 AED.
There are places to eat, very tasty burgers, although they are expensive at 80 AED.
There are no slides for small children and parents to ride together, only a lazy river.
If you fly Emirates, there is a discount, and admission is free 7 days before and after your stay.
We wouldn't have gone for the full price.

Pros:
-Huge water park with various attractions; you'll definitely need three days to see everything
-Access to the beach and the sea
-Very friendly staff
Cons:
-Huge queues for the popular slides; you can wait more than two hours in line for just one slide
-Luggage storage is not included in the price, so you have to wait in a huge line to buy access

Cool water park, there are slides for those who are afraid and for the brave. I personally found something to my liking, there are also medium-sized slides, and I want to come back here again, but there is one downside: you have to wait a very long time to go down the slide because the queues are huge, but there are huge screens showing how many minutes you have to wait, like the average waiting time, and I want to come back here again, and it's great!

Slides
Neptune’s Tower includes attractions such as:
- The Leap of Faith is a seemingly creepy tube that originates from the very top. It is considered by many to be Aquaventure’s most popular and signature spot. Almost completely vertical at its beginning with a transparent tunnel at the end – during the ride you are surrounded by real sharks, rays and other sea creatures. The total length is 61 meters and the height is 27.5 meters. The slide is exited without an inflatable lap.
- Shark Attack is a ride on a single or paired inflatable “donut” on a mysterious portal through a lagoon teeming with marine predators.
- Water Coasters (Water Coasters) – a trip on a donut on numerous and fascinating turns with countless ascents and descents, which will give a lot of adrenaline.
Poseidon’s Tower features:
- Poseidon’s Revenge, a slide that caused quite a sensation in 2013 after its launch as part of an addition to the complex. Experience the true wrath of the sea king as the floor drops out from under your feet, sending you on a lightning-fast spurt through the entire pyramid and literally flying out.
- Zoomerango (Zoomerango) – a real journey into weightlessness on a huge mattress, accommodating up to 6 participants with dizzying ups and downs.
- Slytherine (Slitherine) – a double water sprint where the luckiest one wins and the competition turns into a stunning race through narrow corridors and intertwining twists and turns.
- The Aquaconda is a descent inside a makeshift snake with numerous twists and turns and a giant transparent tunnel at the end of the ride.
The newest Trident Tower is the place to relax and have fun on the slides:
- The Blinding (Blackout) is a tube that combines the effects of Poseidon’s Revenge and Leap of Faith to send you on a completely dark ride with dizzying twists and crazy descents. This is the absolute top of the line in terms of the extreme nature of the new area of the park!
- Hydra Racer is a fun time-trial competition in the form of a mattress rappel for up to 4 participants with exciting twists and turns.
- Medusa’s Lair is an inflatable mattress ride down a string of winding channels representing the abode of Medusa the Gorgon with a number of visual effects.
- Shockwave is a fun, medium-extreme group slide for the whole family.
- Odyssey of Terror (Odyssey of Terror) is a thrill ride on a donut with a series of accelerations, free falls and the effect of weightlessness, which, by the way, is the world’s longest waterslide.
- The youngest visitors will also find plenty of places to have fun. The children’s zone of the center with 14 attractions is called Splashers (Splashers). There is a sea of small slides for riding, all kinds of hanging webs and a water gun for shooting jets. Two large buckets douse the kids with water and create an atmosphere of endless sea fun. And in April 2018, a new Splashers Island with wonderful slides was added to the park for kids up to 1.2 meters tall. And in the new area at Trident Tower, kids can frolic in the Splashers Lagoon and Splashers Cove areas with four unique fun activities in each.
Ziggurat Tower
On the territory of the Aquaventure water complex in Dubai there is a unique Ziggurat Tower, the architecture of which is in the style of ancient temples of ancient Mesopotamia. This 30-meter high structure has 7 slides, which are located on 3 different levels, allowing visitors to descend from different heights. The most popular and extreme attraction at the Ziggurat Tower is considered to be the Shamal spiral slide.
Atlantean Pilots Zipline
Another surprise awaiting Aquaventure visitors is the ropes course that rises 20 meters above the waterpark. This ropeway is the first and longest not only in Dubai, but also in the Arab Emirates. The speed that the Atlantean Pilots can reach during the flight is up to 15 km/hour.
All the attractions you can enjoy at Aquaventure Waterpark:
- Leap of Faith: A thrilling slide as tall as a 9-story building that takes visitors through a clear acrylic tube surrounded by sharks and stingrays.
- Aquaconda: The world’s largest waterslide with a 14-meter-long serpentine ride that drops visitors into the depths of the park’s signature attraction.
- Poseidon’s Revenge: A high-speed trap slide that drops guests down a near-vertical chute.
- Shark Attack: A family raft ride that takes visitors through a dark tunnel that suddenly opens up to the thrilling sight of several sharks.
- The Rapids: A waterslide that takes riders on a thrilling journey through twists and turns.
- Wavehouse: A surf machine that creates perfect waves for athletes of all levels.
- Splashers: Children’s area with fountains, climbing wall and mini slides.
- Torrent River: A 2.3 kilometer long lazy river through rapids and waves.

- Neptune’s Tower: Another tower structure with four thrilling water slides.

Useful tips
- At the Aquaventure ticket office you can put money on your entrance bracelet and pay for all additional services (locker and towel rentals, food purchases) with it. Any remaining funds can be returned at the end of the day. You can also pay in cash or with a bank card.
- Before visiting another attraction, evaluate your and your family’s possibilities. No one but you can do it, and the administration of Atlantis does not bear any responsibility for your actions.
- On the territory of the water complex in Dubai it is forbidden to pass to the attractions without queuing or to take a queue and “step aside”. If you break this rule, you may be asked to leave the park.
- When going to a water park in Dubai, do not take food or any drinks with you – it is forbidden. Moreover, your bags will be checked at the entrance to the entertainment complex.
Shark Safari
The underwater show “Shark Safari” is very popular among visitors. Participants of the show dive into the waters of the Shark Lagoon, where sea creatures swim.
For diving they are given a special helmet that creates an air pocket. Thanks to the air supply, a person can breathe freely during the unusual walk along the bottom of the reservoir.
The entertainment is safe and children from 10 years old accompanied by parents are allowed to join it.
“Shark Safari takes place every day, but it is better to buy tickets in advance. The program is not included in the general admission ticket to the water park, it must be paid additionally.
Feeding the bull stingrays
This show is just as popular, especially since it is only offered in Dubai by Aquaventure Waterpark. Stingrays live in the same Shark Lagoon, in shallow water. Program participants can not only observe these amazing creatures, but even feed them from their hands.
Children from 6 years old can take part in feeding stingrays if they are accompanied by their parents. By the way, the photos taken during this program are the best memorial of incredible adventures in the waterpark in Dubai.
Entertainment is available daily and you have to pay extra for it.
Dolphin Encounter
On the territory of the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai there is another attraction – Dolphin Bay Dolphinarium. You have to buy a separate ticket to visit it, but it gives you the opportunity to visit the Aquaventure water park and the beach.
The most amazing adventure you can experience at Dolphin Bay Lagoon is swimming, hugging and kissing with the incredibly sociable and kind dolphins. Adults and children over the age of 8 are allowed to join in this entertainment, provided they are able to stay well in the water and swim: the action takes place at a depth of 3 meters for 30 minutes.
Restaurants at Atlantis
Going to Aquaventure for a whole day, you don’t have to worry about where to eat: there are 16 restaurants and cafes on its territory, a large number of kiosks with food.
If you pay for food at once, including it in the price of the entrance ticket to the water park, it will be much cheaper than buying food yourself. For 50 dirhams a visitor can eat once at any time of the day.
Secrets
The main mass of tourists falls on May Day. There are a lot of people in the park, on weekends (Friday and Saturday in Dubai) there is no point in going at all.
Here’s the basic flyhacks:
- If you don’t want to stand in lines, go straight to the opening (10.00), even early, book tickets in advance online, you’ll save money at the same time.
- Your own towels and no locker will save you a lot of time. Until 12-13 on a working day (not May holidays) you can have time to ride on all the slides almost without a queue. Closer to 14 the queues become huge. You can take a fast track, but it is expensive, more than 100 dollars.
- The most important thing is to take coral slippers or something light on your feet, but not flip-flops to hold on. On the slides require you to take off the slippers and hold in your hands (uncomfortable), and on the hot slabs after 12 to walk hot. The same situation applies to cameras, cameras not strapped to you. Holding them in your hands during the descent is not allowed.
- There is a lot of sun in the park, so apply sunscreen immediately. You can’t wear cotton T-shirts on the slides, only hydro-shirts. When you go down the slide, swim the “lazy river”, sometimes it is very long and you are almost all the time in the sun.
- Come lightly, with your own towels, you can take one to occupy a sun bed. It is unlikely that you will freeze, cover and wipe yourself with them if you come when it is 30 and above.
- There is no point in getting a locker unless you have expensive things. You can leave most of your things on the sun bed, on a towel.
- It seems to be possible to carry a bottle of water per person into the park.
- Small children over 120 cm tall, but still small 7-10 years old, ride in combined bagels with adults, there are 8s with a smaller and bigger hole. We rode only from the pyramid ziggurat, there are other goreyas, but we did not reach them. There are 9 slides on the ziggurat. As I understand it, 8 with bagels and one (leap of faith) when you move off just for fun.
- There is no point in getting stuck on a lazy river, unless you want to wait in lines. Ride once, and then after the descent look for the exit at once, otherwise you will swim in circles for half an hour.
- All the slides are supposed to be 120 cm and above, but I was quite scared on half of them, even though I like speed and extreme. Carefully fold your legs and arms into bagels and lift your butt so that it doesn’t rub on the bottom. Lifeguards, in principle, at every step and prompt very well.
- The children’s zone deserves special attention. As a mom, I would go here only because of the children’s complex, it is a full-fledged cool waterpark in the waterpark for children.
- Leap of faith is a really scary and cool thing, I was numb with fear and couldn’t scream while going down it. A few seconds of free fall on the almost vertical descent of the slide.
- If you go up to the leap of faith slide and the queue starts from the steps, you have to stand for more than an hour.
The coolest slides in Aquaventure
There are plenty of slides in Aquaventure, but I want to tell you only about the ones that impressed me the most.
Poseidon’s Revenge – in my opinion, the most frightening slide in the park. I don’t know what’s scarier, the countdown before the hatch opens or the slide itself. You should try it.
By the way, “Poseidon’s Revenge” is one of the quietest slides in the park, visitors scream only for the first two or three seconds from the shock of the descent There are two slides running parallel to each other, so you can go down in pairs in a race.
Slitherine – classic slide, individual slide down a long enclosed tube. Warning. You can accidentally fall into a trance while descending from the Slytherin slide.
The Leap of Faith – similar to Poseidon’s Revenge, but the descent is like a regular slide, not from a capsule. The descent is steep and high (almost with a nine-storey building), but because of the speed and short length, you do not have time to be frightened, only to catch your breath.
The “Leap of Faith” or “Leap into the unknown” is promoted because of the pipe that goes through the pool with stingrays and sharks. But the pool flies by so fast that you don’t have time to see anyone, and the water obscures your eyes.
Shark Attack – having descended through a very dark tunnel, you will find yourself in a transparent hollow tube inside the pool with sharks. The slide is somewhat specific: in the first part, the descent occurs under the force of gravity and with the flow of water, and already in the aquarium you’ll have to “help” your teddy to get to the end.
In fact, the part of the Shark Attack slide passing through the aquarium is a “lazy river”, which is often jammed with the carcasses of visitors who are stuck or simply do not want to swim further. If you want to admire the sharks, don’t create a line, just go down the slide again! Otherwise you’ll get shoved down by the swimmers behind you.
The Surge – At first glance, this is a regular classic slide, but to me, this slide is one of the most nerve tickling. First of all, the “dark” part of the slide is mesmerizing. Secondly, the descent is carried out on a plushie, which creates a feeling of lack of control over the descent, uncontrollability. You can only trust the creators of the slide and hope that you will not fly away. However, the net stretched over the slide does not contribute much to this.
The Rapids -a “lazy” river that turns into a raging torrent in an instant. There is no extreme, but make yourself comfortable in the plush, keep your feet and head to yourself. At one of the closed sections of the river, an uncle sits on a chair. If you see him, please ask him what he is doing there.
Ticket prices: how to save money
You can buy a ticket in advance on the official Atlantis website. You can also buy a ticket at the entrance ticket office, but at a significantly higher price (365 AED at the ticket office, versus 289 AED on the website).
If you buy a ticket on the website ten or more days before the date of visit, the prices will be at a slight discount (about 10 AED). Several fares (price in AED) are available for adult (anyone above 120 cm) and children (anyone below 120 cm):
Adult | Child | |
Aquaventure Day Pass (classic all-day admission ticket) | 289/299 | 235/245 |
Aquaventure Day Pass with Meal Deal (Waterpark + Set Meal) | 344 | 290 |
Aquaventure Day Pass with Photo Package (water park + photo by water park photographers) | 344 | 290 |
Aquaventure and The Lost Chambers combo ticket (water park + oceanarium in one day) | 354 | 280 |
Towel and locker rentals are also charged separately:
- towel – 35 AED;
- locker – 45 AED small and 75 AED large;
- locker + towel – 55 AED;
- slippers (a la socks) for swimming – 10 AED. Good stuff, I recommend
I recommend buying a ticket with meals, because you need to eat something and the prices in the waterpark are high. The difference in price pays off at once. Sure, the food in the park is one fast food, but still. Be sure to take water with you. It is allowed to bring up to 1 liter per guest to the waterpark. It is expensive in the park – from 15 AED.
